This is us

Two high school friends, Dominik and Ondra, who have been on this journey together for over 10 years.

Our story began during the COVID period when we had online classes and faced a choice – to play sports, spend time on computer games, or try to move our lives forward in a new direction. We didn’t abandon sports or games at the time, but we also embarked on a new entrepreneurial journey.

This is how we stored our first purchased sneakers. We were so worried about them that we covered them with a curtain, just in case someone saw the expensive sneakers we had.

At that time, we didn’t even think about having an e-shop or a physical store. We were simply trying to buy as many rare sneakers as possible with all the money we had.

We Always Found a Way

Yes, that's a kitchen glove, a bag from grandma, and the third floor of an apartment block. When we needed to transport more sneakers, it looked like this.

This optimism – that we could find a way to solve any situation – has thankfully stuck with us.

Our Own Photos? No Problem!

Except for the fact that it was our first time holding a camera, and we had no idea how to arrange the sneakers to make them look good in a photo.

This was our studio in 2022, used for our Instagram account, where all orders were placed at that time.

May 2022: Graduation Success

Our parents’ worries that we were constantly focused on sneakers and neglecting school turned out to be unfounded. We successfully graduated from high school and got into universities.

On that day, Ondra even discovered his inner literary genius and somehow brought home straight A’s. Now, we could fully dive into our business.

September 2022: E-shop Launch

At that time, we naively thought that launching an e-shop would simplify the ordering process and rid us of the issues we had been facing.

Only after two years did we realize that building an e-shop brought us about 200x more challenges than selling through Instagram.

Before the launch, we checked everything, but we still encountered issues, like the first five orders being priced at 0 because some products didn’t have their prices listed.

March 2023: New Studio

This decision still brings us joy today. We managed to set up our own studio directly in our warehouse, so we no longer had to travel with sneakers or pay for professional studios in Prague.

We use this backdrop almost daily for photos and videos for our website and social media, and we believe it will serve us well for a long time.

Christmas 2023: Chaos

During Christmas 2023, there was extreme demand for our products. In a single day, we managed to ship over 90 pairs of sneakers. We were thrilled with our numbers, but it was also our most challenging time as we weren’t prepared for such pressure.

We decided that next year we’d need to make changes to ensure growth and maintain the level of service we want to offer. This marked the beginning of our slogan and phase of "automation and innovation."

Spring 2024: Automation and Innovation

The phrase "automation and innovation" emerged as we realized that if we wanted to grow and focus on tasks that push the business forward, we needed to automate some of our daily tasks and develop new and efficient ways to build the company.

Dominik took this goal upon himself, and through months of work on systems, he simplified hundreds of tasks we used to do manually. Now, we can all focus on impactful activities that drive the business, allowing us to grow faster and do what we love.

Present

This year has been our toughest yet in running the e-shop. We’ve faced dozens of major setbacks, but thanks to them, we’ve learned how to avoid such issues in the future.

We live by the quote from Alex Hormozi: "Either the business grows, or you do." And this year, we’ve certainly grown – in the amount of experience we’ve gained and the knowledge we now possess.

We’re already working enthusiastically on big changes to ensure success next year, proving that we belong among the top e-shops in our field in both the Czech Republic and abroad.
